Speaking of Colin's appointment, Dr. Ian McKenzie Smith, President of the Royal Scottish Academy said "As Scotland's premiere body representing contemporary artists, a position it has held since its founding in 1826, the RSA is making this appointment to reaffirm its commitment to the new generation of artists and architects who are upholding Scotland's great creative traditions Colin's experience and interest in interpretation and education, will be of great value to the Academy."

Colin comes from Peacock Visual Arts in Aberdeen where he was responsible for exhibitions, marketing and sales. He took up his appointment at the beginning of January.
