In 2002 Alan Pert RSA (Elect) established NORD Architect, recognised for its responsiveness to both its physical and cultural contexts as well as for the quality of detailing and construction, often archived within stringent time and budget constraints. The practice works across a breadth of scales, from the small scale buildings to city scale masterplans.
Prior to establishing NORD Pert worked for GMV & Partners in Berlin (1992-1994). Following this Pert was a partner with Zoo Architects (1996-2002) where he was Project Architect for the Tramway Redevelopment project in Glasgow, which won the Grand Prix prize for Scottish Architecture in 2001. Pert also won the title of ‘Young Scottish Architect of the Year’ for his work on Tramway in 2001.
