Hooligan Sadikson is an artist whose current work explores the tension between Reality and The Real. As explored by French psychoanalyst Jacques Lacan, the concept of The Real has led Hooligan to understand the phenomena of art and cringe manifestation to a theoretical degree.
The artwork displayed in front of you was part of the RSA New Contemporarities [sic]: each year the RSANC Official committee selects New upcoming artists to give them the opportunity to transform their work into a commodity by stocking their work into a very nice big fancy shop.
The artwork installation in this event was once successfully hanged, shelved or displayed and then bought by collectors, investors, or as they say in very nice fancy shops … customers.
Since then it has been liberated by the act of stealing.
