Eelco Hooftman RSA (Elect) founded GROSS. MAX in 1995 with partner Bridget Baines. It has been widely regarded as one of the few UK-based exponents of a new generation of contemporary European landscape architecture. The practice has won numerous competitions and awards for public space and has an international portfolio of exciting and challenging projects. The practice has a strong international outlook both in terms of their nationalities and the locations of their commissions and has been recognised for its contextual approach with a contemporary idiom towards urban space.
Hooftman and Baines are both visiting professors at GSD, Harvard University.
