During his first trip to Spain in 1932, Wilson sent a postcard to his parents which said; "Hotel Centro Nationes, Seville. 21/8/32, Dear Ma & Dad. I've got to Seville at last, where the oranges come from, ….....I'll just stay till Monday or Tuesday and go on to Granada, perhaps stop at a little place en route – Ronda which is supposed to be very picturesque...."
