This is the plate for probably the best known and most celebrated of Wilson's prints. The drying nets evoke his Woodcutter, whilst the influence of his multi-layered Spanish landscapes inform the jumble of buildings which appear to sit on each other. It is an essentially Scottish image, romantic, divine and powerful in its essence.
