Jane Hyslop was born in Edinburgh and was brought up in Midlothian where she still lives and has a studio. She studied Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art between 1984 and 1990 and is an artist with particular interest in drawing and printmaking.
Her work is held in numerous collections including Yale Center for British Art, Tate Library Special Collections, Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art Special Books Collection and the National Library of Scotland. She currently lectures in Art and Illustration at Edinburgh College of Art, The University of Edinburgh.
