Robinson has exhibited extensively throughout the UK and Europe, New York Australia and most recently at the Palazzo del Te in Mantua. Her work is held in major collections including - The British Museum London; The Fitzwilliam Museum Cambridge; The Swindon Museum and Art Gallery; The Royal West of England Academy Bristol; The University of Bath; The Polish Art Foundation Melbourne Australia; The Ballinglen Museum of Contemporary Art Co. Mayo Rep. of Ireland.
She graduated with a BA Hons. in Fine Art and History of Art from Oxford Brooks University in 1986 and completed a Masters in Fine Art at the University of Portsmouth in 1997.
Fiona Robinson was elected an Academician of the Royal West of England Academy Bristol (RWA) in 2013 and is currently President of the RWA. She is also an Honorary Member ex officio of the Royal Academy of Art and an Honorary Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists.
She was awarded the Drawing Prize at the Royal West of England Academy Open Exhibition, Bristol in 2011; First Prize in the University of Bath Painting Prize in 2007; and third prize at the 4th International Biennale of Drawing in Melbourne, Australia in 2007. She has been shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize; the Derwent Drawing Prize and the Cheltenham Drawing Prize.
