This film is based around the little-known fact that Emily Bronte reared a Merlin falcon. The imagery is all about flying, falconry, captivity, escape, predation and cruelty, the moors, the wildness and the weather - everything that was so important to her - all of which feeds into the imagery in her poetry and, of course, Wuthering Heights. Extracts from Emily’s poems are read by Edinburgh actor Chloe Pirrie.
