Brodies Regional Award - Junior West Winner

From the artist: In my still life painting, I have created a composition with oranges in a silver bowl and yellow flowers in a blue jug. I wanted to create a piece with vibrant colours that would attract the viewer and hook them into the scene by using the contrasting colours orange and blue, as well as the bright yellow standing out against the dark background. Winning this competition brought me more confidence in experimenting with more art mediums, as I usually prefer working with pencils instead. It gave me great pride, urging my creativity to create more and join more competitions.
