From the artist: First of all, I would like to thank the judges for their consideration of my work. I feel honoured for my work to have been commended, and it has encouraged me to continue broadening and expanding my photography skills.
When taking this photo, I was motivated by the rapidly setting sun that was creating a golden glow on the water. The contrast between that and the darkness of the leaves caught my eye and I wanted to capture it.
