From the artist: This piece was created for my Higher Art Portfolio with coloured pencil on black paper. It focuses on the theme of femininity, focusing primarily on the aspect of embracing it.  When creating this piece, I was fascinated with using fine contour lines to show the curved and organic forms of both myself as well as the flowers which adorn me. I am beyond grateful to have my work recognised by the RSA and to win an award. Thank you to my art teacher Ms Mitchell for creating this opportunity! And of course, my parents for encouraging my passion for art!
