From the artist: For me personally, a bed is where a significant amount of time is spent. This could be for sleep, for intimacy, for illness or for comfort. But from a world view, an adequate shelter is a fundamental human need that may not be available to all. The subject matter is common to all viewers so they will have a personal interpretation and association with my work.
