From the artist: I was very excited to hear that I had won a prize for my painting. The painting is a self-portrait of me wearing a blue jumper. I made up the background by copying an artist's work that I liked. The Barge by Maurice de Vlaminck.
I like it because of the bright colours and the shapes of the buildings and the boat. The whole painting was done on the iPad using the app called Procreate. I used teh app to match the colours of the skin to make it look real. I'm happy with this painting; its' the best I've ever done.
