From the artist: After learning about Art movements, I found a piece of artwork which I felt inspired by to create my own artwork in that style. I loved Tamara de Lempicka’s Young Lady with Gloves, due to the Art Deco style, with contrasting green tones and the angular look of the clothing. I chose Lana Del Ray as the model inspiration and aimed to capture the Art Deco style seen in works of Tamara de Lempicka. I used coloured pencil for this A2 study as I felt it was my strongest media and really enjoy building up layers of colour using pencils.
