I used graphite pencils for this portrait with careful consideration and emphasis on the subject’s skin texture, tone and the small details throughout. I then would use a rubber to create highlights in an attempt to further enhance the realistic style. I am very pleased to hear that my piece has been highly commended and this will encourage me to work harder in the future.
