Junior Award - Second Prize Winner

The artist: "This piece of art that I did is based on my dog. My dog is 10 years old, a black lab, and is called Bracken. For this artwork I planned it out in small sections to make the proportions exact and make the piece even more realistic. I painted using brown, blue and white acrylic paint, mixing them to get a colour resembling black and all the shades of grey. The fact that the artwork is in black and white makes the piece stand out because it is easier for the eye to concentrate on the dog instead of the dog and colour. I hope you enjoy looking at my painting."
