The artist: "I created this piece of art from a photo of where I live. I liked the moody colours and the rays of lights shining through the darkness. I think the shades of grey show the skies emotion and it makes me thoughtful. I used only a standard pencil, some cotton earbuds to blend the greys and a rubber to create the rays shining down. I’m really surprised that I have won an award, it means a lot to me and has helped boost my confidence in my art work."
