Join Edward Summerton RSA for the launch of Magic Circle, an artist’s book created in collaboration with Alan Grieve, Gair Dunlop, Bill Duncan and Harris Grieve.
Accompanying Summerton’s work presented in the 199th RSA Annual Exhibition, this surreal and lyrical artist’s book explores the story of Alexander Keillor, the Dundonian marmalade magnate who used his wealth to buy and reset Avebury stone circle in Wiltshire, the largest neolithic stone circle in the world. Through conversations with invited guests, Summerton will discuss the book’s creation and the complex entanglement of class, wealth and power.
