Over the years Scotland has attracted a large community of international artists to its shores. In the past decade, the wave of 'new Scots' coming to study, work and live in Scotland, has included a very strong Polish voice. The work being produced by these Polish artists has attracted significant interest and there is now a very definite Polish influence infiltrating the Scottish contemporary scene.
This exhibition aims to highlight a number of the key young players in this movement. The exhibition asks what attracted them to Scotland; how they straddle their careers in both countries; and if/how their practice in Scotland differs from a similar experience in their homeland.

The exhibition also includes work by RSA/ESW International Residency 2012 award winner Kuba Bakowski. Kuba has been awarded £8000 and a 3 month residency opportunity to further develop his practice at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop.
An exhibition of mainly paperworks, the show would look at printmaking, multiples, oils, watercolour, photography, drawing and installation. The show will be in the RSA Project Room for the duration of the Edinburgh International Festival.
