Senior Award - Second Prize Winner.
The artist: "In my work, I aimed to capture the unique pressures felt by lockdown as a result of the pandemic. The intention was to encourage the viewer to relate to the subject matter and to reflect on this difficult period in our history. Recognising that everyone has been affected differently by the pandemic, I wanted to recreate this idea of ambiguity and desire for freedom behind the eyes of my model. Winning this award has given me the confidence to continue communicating through my art."
