I studied my BA in Painting and Printmaking at Glasgow School of Art (2018-2022). I am currently studying a Masters of Fine Art in painting at Slade School of Fine Art (2022-2024). I have been awarded the Painters-Stainers’ Company Prize (2017) and the James Nicol McBroom Prize (2022).

I see my work as grounded within painting, although I use a wide variety of materials and processes which are central to my practice. I explore the associative qualities of varying materials and how they link to time, place and space. My work engages with the politics and poetics of space, how space is freeing and restrictive, and its connection with accessibility and perception. An interest in framing also runs through my practice. I respond to how framing can simultaneously historically ground a painting, contextually enhance it and pull it into a more sculptural domain.

My paintings look to layer, construct and re-channel past and present moments through varying processes and materials to create new forms that seek to sensitise and heighten our visual perceptions.
