Beattie Maccoll is a 29-year-old graduate of the Glasgow School of Art in Fine Art Photography. She is currently honing her creative practice by doing an MA in filmmaking where she plans on specialising in cinematography.

Beattie’s practice is focused on moving image with a special interest in narrative based work.

Trollied is a piece about the cyclical nature of trauma and addiction, exploring the intimate nature of it through subjects’ first person narration whilst they go about their daily life.

Through this work the filmmaker looks to show the viewer that this sort of plight could be a lot more commonplace than first assumed. The rest is up to interpretation.

This presentation is a shortened cut with the intention of making it more impactful.
